We shared this last year when we introduced Camp Pathfinder…
How can we make marketing fun? Quick answer – themes. But we’ll get there shortly.
Let’s start big.
If I asked you to name one of the most innovative and ingenious technology companies of the last ten years, chances are, Apple would be one of the first to come to mind.
Why wouldn’t we want to mimic our marketing strategies and offerings after a company that has paved the paths of innovation, creativity, and success?
But what is the marketing takeaway? Don’t stay static.
And we’re here to do it again. Let us introduce…
READY FINDER ONE
At Pathfinder, we believe that creativity knows no bounds. And it shouldn’t. We have found this year that many of our clients vary in need. Some have no marketing infrastructure at all, while others need the push to the next level. And as the Googles and Apples of the world push back against digital tracking, marketing has to adjust back away from people tracking to people engagement. And engagement comes from consistent and eye-grabbing content.
So back to themes (which we are ensuring will catch a lot of attention).
We want our themes to push us creatively, to help us show YOU what is possible. As we strive to provide you more value and more ideas, we want to do the same for our business. Our Summer Camp theme was our first run at showcasing how we can stretch a campaign to fit our childhood nostalgia or a season of the year.
Ready Finder One will show how we can take a campaign or theme and vary it across generations. From the first 8-bit console, to the millennials who grew up with the first Nintendo, to today’s AR video games on cell phones, the new theme pays homage to video games through the ages and across genres. Every year, new games show us worlds and characters that we never imagined – constantly pushing us to dream up even more. Queue the epitome of marketing.
Character development within the game
We all had that video game that resonated with us above all others. We often hear about the really popular ones that take the world by storm – Super Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, Pokemon (and these days – Pokemon Go), Halo, Call of Duty, Stardew Valley, Fortnite, Animal Crossing, and so many more. The best video games are the ones that have a main character that we identify with (my favorite – The Legend of Zelda) – we bet there’s a Super Smash Brothers character that you always play as.
For our theme, we’re introducing The Hero. Our nondescript protagonist is whoever you are. And that means The Hero becomes whoever you become. Your business is The Hero for someone. There is a villain that you take on every day. The Hero will grow and change during Ready Finder One, and we at Pathfinder want to help you do the same.
In plain speak, The Hero will become more defined, more noticeable, and stand out by the end of our theme. Our video and design content will follow a path through the evolution of video games, and our “finale” will show new services and value that Pathfinder can provide for you. We’re excited to share more soon!
